Issue:

When sending an email directly from SAGE Workplace Windows app, you see "Error #2."

Solution:

First, close all of the programs that are currently running on your computer, re-start the computer, and then try again.

If you still have the same problem, click Start | Find | Files or Folders and search for each of the following temporary files depending on in which area of SAGE Workplace Windows app you are having the problem.  If you are emailing the document as a PDF, add ".pdf" to the name below.  If you are emailing a Word document, add ".doc" to the name below.  If you are emailing a JPEG file, add ".jpg" to the name below.  If you search for the appropriate file and it exists, delete or rename it.

Temporary Files:

Emailing report: report
Emailing product information: product
Emailing product picture: photo
Emailing catalog page:  catpage
Emailing supplier listing: supplist
Emailing supplier information: suppinfo
Emailing general information: geninfo
Emailing artwork information: artinfo
Emailing catalog index: catindex
Emailing special: special
Emailing presentation: the attachment name on the "publish" tab

For example, if you are trying to email a catalog page image as a PDF, you would search for (and delete) catpage.pdf.

After deleting these files (any of them that exist), you should be able to send emails from SAGE Workplace Windows app properly.

If you are still having the issue, try sending and a sending a test message from Microsoft Word (as attachment).  If that also fails with a MAPI error, see:

More Information:

Your email program is only capable of sending one message at a time with the same attachment name.   If you tried to send more than one email at a time, or if your email program crashed while sending an email message, then the temporary file may still exist on your hard drive.  The next time a message is sent, the attachment already exists and the email will fail.  After removing all of the temporary files, you should be able to send emails properly.
