Issue:

With the newest style layouts for WebExpress and WebExpress Pro, you can configure custom navigation elements to add links to specific WebStore searches to your site.  This can be used, for example, to create a list of Categories down the left side of your site.

Solution:

1.  Login to SAGEmember.com to modify your site.

2.  Click the WebExpress tab.

3.  Click the Navigation button.  If you do not see the Navigation button, you may be in an older layout style.  Click the Layout Styles button and make sure that you have selected one that says it supports customized navigation.

4.  Add a new navigation element to the navigation bar of your choice by clicking the Add button.

5.  Type in the display name (this is the name that will actually show on your site for this element) and the virtual filename (a unique name that is used in the URL).  Note that a virtual filename will be created automatically for you as you type and you do not need to change it unless you wish to change the virtual filename to something else.

6.  Select "WebStore Start Search" as the destination.  Note that this is the default when you are adding navigation elements to the left-nav area.

7.  Specify the search criteria using the various search criteria fields.  Enter information into the fields in the same way as you would enter information into your SAGE WebStore search area.  For example, you would combine multiple keywords or colors using and, or, not (e.g. red or green, black and white).

8.  Save your changes and test out your link from your site.
