Mail and other data not syncing properly in Outlook Version 2401

Issue:

The folders/mail do not sync at all after initial configuration of account in Oulook Version 2401 (and perhaps later versions until resolved by Microsoft)

Solution:

Close Outlook and Downgrade to version 2312. 

1. Open a command prompt with admin privileges.  Type CMD in the Search box on the taskbar, right-click on the Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.

2. Paste this command line in:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17126.20132

3. Hit enter to run the command.

4. Allow installation to complete.

5. Restart Outlook and -turn off- automatic updates (see below).

The installation may take several minutes.

This step is very important. Office automatically checks for updates on a regular basis. To prevent Office from automatically installing new updates, follow these steps:

1. Start Outlook.

2. Click File, and then click Office Account.

3. In the Product Information column, click Update Options, and then click Disable Updates.
