Setting Up Your Email Client 10033

After your new email account is set up on our server, you will need to add a new (or edit an existing)  account in the email software on your computer.

If you have not setup your email account(s) on our server see this article: Setting up your email on our server.


Solution:
 
To find the settings for your email account(s):

1.  Open your web browser and go to http://www.sagemember.com

2.  Enter your login ID and your password and click "Login".

3.  Click on the "Email Accounts" tab, you will find the settings at the top of page.

The account name is your entire email address. For example, "info@abcpromos.com" would be a valid account name.

The password is your account password that you chose when you set up your email account in the Email Accounts area of SAGEmember.com (which may be different from your SAGE Online password).  All email account passwords are case-sensitive so be sure you type it in with the correct upper and lower case letters.

In general, if your email client supports ActiveSync, you should use ActiveSync as your email protocol.  Nearly all popular mobile devices support ActiveSync as well as Outlook 2013 and above.  On your desktop or laptop (without Outlook 2013 and above), you should use IMAP if you plan to access your email from your mobile device or our webmail system as well as your desktop.  If you will only be accessing your mail from your desktop, you may choose POP3 as the protocol to store your messages locally on your computer. 

All SAGE email services require encryption in order to keep your login information secure.  You may use TLS or SSL.  All modern email clients support one or both of these encryption protocols.
