In September 2009 we announced our new relationship with Merchant Focus to replace First Data as our processing partner for SAGE Payment Processing. As of August 1, 2012, we will stop processing First Data accounts through the SAGE Payment Processing virtual terminal. Customers wishing to stay with First Data, will need to switch to using the First Data Global Gateway Virtual Terminal to process transactions. You will need to obtain your login information from First Data.
1. The account holder should call First Data Support at 888.477.3611, press 2, then 2 again for password assistance.
2. You will need to verify the store number, your name, business name, etc.
3. Tell the representative you need to reset the password for the Global Gateway Virtual Terminal.
4. You will need the bank account number associated with your Merchant Account, the email address on the account (the default address is ppadmin@qti.com, if this is not the address on file, it was changed to the account holder's email address), and the Federal Tax ID Number (this should be the Tax ID for the business but may also be the account holder's social security number).
5. After the information is verified, the representative will give you a temporary password.
6. Go to https://secure.linkpt.net/lpc/servlet/LPCLogin, log in with the temporary password, and reset the password to something you will remember. We recommend you do this before hanging up with the support representative to make sure you have access.
The options mentioned in step 1 where correct at the time this article was published, but could change at any time. Follow the prompts for a password reset.
