Issue:

Each staff member within your organization must have his or her own login ID for SAGE services.  This makes it easy to control and monitor access of your services.  For example, you may want certain staff members to have access to only certain areas or administrative functions.  This article describes how to setup specific users who can login to sagemember.com using their own login information and how to customize their access.

Solution:

Adding Users

The "Users" tab in SAGEmember.com allows you to set up specific users so that each user can have his or her own login ID and customized access for SAGE services. 

1. Go to http://www.sagemember.com, and log in using your SAGE account number and main administrative password (or another administrator login account if you have already set up users).

2. Click the Users tab, then click "Add User."  Fill in the appropriate information for the user you are adding.  Only fields with a "*" next to them are required.  See below for more information on the "Administrative Login Settings" section.

3.   Click "Save Profile" to save your settings.


Setting Up User Access Control

In the Login Settings section, you set the level of access for the user.

1.  Enter the user's login ID.  This can be any alphanumeric ID that you want to assign for the user.

Note: Login IDs CANNOT be a 4, 5, or 6 digit number.  The user's first initial and last name makes a good Login ID.

2.  Enter the password for the user.  This can be any alphanumeric password that you want to assign.

Note: Certain very simple passwords are prohibited, including using your account number or login name.  Your password must be at least 6 characters long and should contain letters and either numbers or punctuation.  Passwords with asterisks (*) are also prohibited.

3.  Set the Access Rights by checking the appropriate boxes.  For example, to give the person access to SAGE Workplace Windows app, you would check the SAGE Workplace Windows app box.

Note:  User account settings are synchronized with the WebExpress Pro staff list found in the Company Profile area.  If you have WebExpress Pro you may add the user in either place (the Users list on SAGEmember.com or the Company Profile area in WebExpress Pro).
