When attempting to send an email from SAGE using Microsoft Outlook as your email client, you either do not have a send option or nothing happens when you click the send button on the message that SAGE generates.
Note that this article assumes that Outlook is properly configured, and you are able to send and receive messages normally. If you need information on setting up an email account or other problems sending messages from SAGE, see the links in the more information section below.
This is NOT a problem with SAGE. This is a known issue with Outlook. You can verify this by trying to send an email from Microsoft Word by clicking File|Sent To|Mail Recipient (as Attachment). It will exhibit the same symptoms.
Be sure to verify your default email program is set correctly by opening Internet Explorer and go to Tools | Internet Options | Programs. See: Cannot send email from SAGE Workplace Windows app
Option 1:
Send your message using the keyboard shortcut (CTRL-ENTER or ALT-S) instead of clicking on send.
Option 2:
This is currently unverified, but updating Office/Outlook through Windows update may fix the problem. From Internet Explorer, click on Tools|Windows Update. Click on the Office Update link at the top of the page. Then click the "Check for Updates" option. Follow the prompts to update your Office installation (note: you may have to do this several times as some updates must be installed individually).
