When I try to send an email from SAGE Workplace Windows app, I get an error or it does not use the right email program.
Please follow these directions to ensure that your computer is set up for the correct default email program:
1. Close SAGE Workplace Windows app completely.
2. Determine what your default email client should be. This is the program that you normally use for your email. Some examples are Outlook, Outlook Express, AOL, Hotmail, and Eudora.
3. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel and then click Internet Options. Click the Program tab and then select your default email client from the list next to E-Mail. Then hit OK and then close the control panel. Re-start SAGE Workplace Windows app and try to email from SAGE Workplace Windows app now. If you still have trouble, continue to step #4.
4. If you have AOL and you want it to be your default email client, follow the directions in Problems sending email from AOL 7 or greater to make sure that your AOL email software is configured to be the default email handler. Then try emailing from SAGE Workplace Windows app again.
5. If you have Outlook Express and you want it to be your default email client, follow the directions in Resetting Outlook Express as the default email program to make sure that Outlook Express is configured to be the default email handler. Then try emailing from SAGE Workplace Windows app again.
6. If you have Eudora and you want it to be your default mail client, follow the directions in Cannot send email from SAGE Workplace Windows app using Eudora to make sure that Eudora is configured to be the default email handler. Then try emailing from SAGE Workplace Windows app again.

Special note for AOL users: You must have AOL 7.0 or later to use the email functions of SAGE. If you have an earlier version, upgrade AOL first, then follow the instructions for manually setting your default email client in Step 4 above or use Outlook Express to send messages.
Web based email (Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.) will NOT work with this feature.
