Using SAGE ShowLink Lite

Issue:

Some shows offer SAGE ShowLink Lite to exhibitors as a complimentary lead retrieval solution or Showlink is available for a small fee.  If SAGE ShowLink Lite is being offered to exhibitors at a show you are attending, you need to complete a few steps prior to the show in order to use ShowLink for your lead retrieval if you plan on using your own iOS or Android device.

Solution:

Note:  Access to ShowLink Lite is available for iOS and Android devices.  Your device must have a rear facing camera. See FAQ: SAGE ShowLink for supported devices.

Setup Prior to the Show

Note: that if you have used Showlink Lite you just need to make sure you have the latest version of the app prior to the show (check the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

Step 1 - Go to the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android) from your device and search for "SAGE ShowLink".  Install the free app.

Step 2 - Setup a Login ID for yourself in SAGEmember.com if you do not already have one.  See: How To: Setup Users in SAGEmember.com

Step 3 - Activate the show, set any defaults that you want, and select the show on your device.  See: Setting Up a Show in ShowLink


Capturing Your Leads at the Show

Step 1 - Launch the ShowLink App on your mobile device.

Step 2 - Tap the camera scan icon in the top right corner of the screen or rotate the device horizontally to activate the camera.  Position the QR code on the badge so it is visible on screen in the cross-hairs, the information will be captured automatically.  You may practice a few times with your own badge to get accustomed to scanning.

Step 3 - You may choose to make any notes, add products, or other information (See Step 3 in the Setup Instructions above for information on setting up your defaults).

When you are ready to capture the next lead, activate the camera again by tapping camera scan icon in the top right corner of the screen or rotating the device horizontally.  Note that using ShowLink may affect your battery life.  Be sure to fully charge your device, bring your charger or an external battery source if possible.
